Nigerian Love Connections
So I received a call from a 50 year daughter who told me her mother was sending a $5000 MacBook Pro to a man name Keandre Thomas. The mother’s name is Jean. A Facebook group is how Jean met Keandre. Jean is a professional quilter who posts her quilts in the group. This man Keandre sent Jean a message telling her how much he enjoyed her quilts. The man claimed he worked on a Oil Rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Keandre sent some photos to Jean and a relationship developed. I noticed the first photo he sent to Jean was a photo printed on copy paper and folded into thirds. I ran call kinds of reports which indicated a white Keandre Thomas did not exist in the USA.
Keandre told Jean that he had Cancer among other things. Well by the time Jean’s daughter became aware of Keandre, Jean had already sent the $5000 Macbook Pro to Keandre to help him out. Keandre claimed he was “waiting on a check from his employer but needed a new computer to work.”
So Jean and her daughter told me everything. Jean said she had just sent the computer to an address in Chicago. So I thought, he lives in Chicago but works in the Gulf of Mexico, seems odd. So I looked up the address 1440 W Taylor Street Chicago IL 60607 Apt 1801. Well that address is a shipping store. Turns out Jean had shipped the computer the day before our conversation, so I called the shipping store. I found out that all packages for that PO Box number were shipped to Nigeria. At the same time, Jean’s phone was ringing off the hook. Keandre was desperate to confirm she had sent the package. I told Jean to answer him, so she did, Keandre heard our voices in the background and quickly hung up. I advised Jean to call FedEx and have her package stopped. Jean’s shipment was returned to her! Jean was very happy, she returned the computer and sent me a check for $250 for my time. I will post this and the photos on our Facebook page.
